I disagree a bit. If you’re tags are marked with rel=”tag” for technorati or what not, it could help drive *some* traffic to your site, though that’s not exactly SEO, it’s more link building. Your ROI for that will depend on a lot of factors.

Correct – for internal navigation tags are really good to have (related posts). On the other hand I dont’t see users clicking on tags to find content too often…OK, seldomly…OKOK, never. Period.

Use cats and tags for internal navigation on WP CMS site. On my blog however I use tags to help my reads find relevant content.

What about words that relate to the content but do not show on the article body, like a post with a video on it. In this case does tags help?
